| Patient Preparation: | 1. Schedule the mammogram ideally between Day 7 to Day 10 of your menstrual cycle, counting Day 1 as the start. 2. Inform your doctor or x-ray technologist if there is any possibility that you are pregnant. 3. Do not apply deodorant, talcum powder, or lotion to your underarms or breasts on the day of the exam, as they may appear as calcium spots on the mammogram. 4. Bring all prior mammograms, breast ultrasounds, prescriptions, and previous records for comparison (if any). 5. Fast for 4 hours before the test and avoid fatty foods in the last meal prior to fasting (for USG). 6. Drink 2-3 glasses of water 1.5 hours before the scan and maintain a full bladder by not passing urine before the procedure (for usg). |
