What is a VON-WILLEBRAND FACTOR ANTIGEN (WFAg)?

Von Willebrand Factor Antigen (WFAg) is a blood test that measures the amount of von Willebrand factor, a protein essential for normal blood clotting. It is done to help diagnose von Willebrand disease and other bleeding disorders, especially in people who bruise easily, have frequent nosebleeds, heavy menstrual bleeding, or prolonged bleeding after injury or surgery.
