What is a HbA1c GLYCOSYLATED HEMOGLOBIN?

HbA1c GLYCOSYLATED HEMOGLOBIN is a blood examination that detects average blood sugar level in the patient over the past 2 to 3 months. It primarily measures haemoglobin percentage that has glucose attached to it. It is important to remember that, unlike a fasting blood glucose test which measures a patient's blood sugar level at a single point in time, an HbA1c test provides a more complete picture of blood sugar over the period of time.
